Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-15.1 · in effect from 15 September 2026
What we collect, and when
We collect nothing until you submit a booking request. There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no cookies set for visitors browsing the site.
When you submit a request we record:
- your name, email address and, if you give one, your phone number;
- the property, your dates, the number of guests and any message you write;
- your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and the time of submission — used to enforce rate limits and detect abuse;
- a record of the consent you gave: the version of the terms, a cryptographic hash of the exact wording shown to you, and the moment you accepted it.
The consent hash exists so that we can prove, later, precisely which words you agreed to — it is a protection for you as much as a record for us.
Why we hold it
To pass your request to the property, to reply to you about it, and to keep the site usable by stopping automated abuse. We do not profile you, we do not build an advertising audience, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Who sees it
The property you requested receives the details needed to host you. Beyond that, your details are seen only by the operator of this site. We use no third-party analytics provider. Email delivery may pass through a mail provider acting on our instructions.
Where it is kept
On a single server in Europe, in a database file that is not accessible from the public internet. Access is restricted to the site operator. We keep booking records for up to 24 months so we can resolve disputes about a stay, then delete them. Abuse and rate-limit logs are kept for 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address on the contact page quoting your booking reference and we will respond within 30 days. If a request is still pending with a property, deleting it will withdraw the request.
Cookies
The public site sets no cookies at all. One cookie is set on the private admin area when the site operator signs in; it holds a random session identifier and nothing else.
Changes
This policy is versioned alongside our Terms of Service. When it changes materially the version number changes, and anyone submitting a request afterwards is asked to accept the new version.
