A normal Baku family apartment in a normal Baku neighbourhood, which is exactly why it is here. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big kitchen and a balcony, for less than a single hotel room in the centre.

Yasamal is residential: bakeries, a market, a park, and people going to work. There is nothing touristic about it and that is the point. The metro at Elmlər Akademiyası is nine minutes on foot and puts you in the centre in about twelve.

The host leaves the flat properly stocked — salt, oil, tea, coffee, dish soap — which sounds minor until you arrive at midnight with children.
